FREE Vision Screening
Missouri State University students and staff will be performing a hi-tech vision screening for all Schofield students in grades 2nd through 5th on Friday, December, 2016.
Please contact our nurse, Chelsea Hudson, if you DO NOT want your student to have a vision screening. Your student will be included in the vision screening program on Friday, December 16th if you have not opted out by Wednesday, December 14th.
Often times, vision impairment or visual problems may go unnoticed during the crucial years of child development. This is why our health services department makes screenings a priority. Using a vision screener can help find problems early that would likely be missed by a basic chart screening. Finding the problem early and seeking treatment is imperative to a student's academic success.
The district will be closed for Winter Break December 21-January 2. A teacher work day will take place January 3, so students will return on Wednesday, January 4, 2017. Elementary and RMS families needing childcare can sign up for Cub Care by clicking HERE.
