  • 5th Grade "Moving Up to Middle School" Information

ATTENTION 5th GRADE FAMILIES: In a few short months your students will be headed into middle school. We have developed some resources to help make this transition a smooth one for your child and for you! Prior to the end of this school year our 6th grade counselor, Gen Nelson, will be coming over to visit each 5th grade classroom and will be bringing some 6th grade friends with her. In addition, all 5th graders will visit the middle school as well to get a tour and to hear from RMS Principal, Mrs. Herbold. Also, next August all 6th grade families are invited to an orientation just focusing on our 6th graders.

CLICK HERE to see a document that includes everything you need to know about 6th grade!

Also, don’t forget that your current 5th grader needs to sign up through RMS for summer school if they plan to attend. Here’s the link: tinyurl.com/RMSsplash.

  • Car Line Sign Required

Please ensure that you have a car line sign.  If you do not have a car line sign we will ask that you pull around to the office, show identification and obtain a car line sign.  Remember, please do not arrive in the car line until 3:15 p.m.  The city police are very concerned about the amount of traffic backing up into Main Street.  If there were a need to get emergency vehicles through that congested traffic it would be very difficult.
