|Mrs. Misty Kinsey, Director of Early Childhood |
Welcome to Republic Early Childhood Center! I am dedicated to ensuring that every child enrolled in the Early Childhood Center receives an outstanding education. The students are my number one priority and I make every decision with students’ best interests in mind. The early childhood years represent a critically important window of opportunity to develop a child’s full potential and shape key academic, social, and cognitive skills that determine a child’s success in school and in life.
I started my teaching career in Republic as part of the Greene County Special Education Cooperative in the fall of 1995. I taught special education at the elementary level for 5 years before moving to Early Childhood. I have held positions as an early childhood special education teacher, process coordinator, and assistant director of student services. I am currently the Director of Early Childhood overseeing the Preschool (MPP and tuition-based), Early Childhood Special Education, and Parents as Teachers programs as well as the Before and After School Care for the MPP program.
I graduated from Missouri State University in 1995 with a bachelor of science degree in elementary education with a minor in special education. I completed my masters of science degree in educational administration from Missouri State University in 2004. I also completed my specialist degree in educational administration-superintendency from Southwest Baptist University in 2010.
