Outdoors
in the Ozarks was founded in 2000 by Republic High School
instructor & coach Jim Huson. Jim has competed in tournaments
for over 20 years. He has fished in Pro-Am tournaments such
as Heartland Pro-Am, BFL, and B.A.S.S. since 1999. Jim was
looking for an opportunity to share his passion for the outdoors
with the next generation of anglers in a classroom, hands-on
environment. This course is unlike others because if offers
on-the-water experience with the Pros. Jim has assembled a
pro-staff of volunteers who are among the best Bass fishermen
in the Ozarks. Through their efforts students are able to
take their skills to the next level. This year we are excited
to be adding Hunting to our curriculum. This portion of the
course will be taught by Coach Howard Quigley. Coach "Quigs"
has been an avid hunter for most of his life and we are happy
to have him on board. |
