  • What will learning look like during the closure?

As stated before, we understand that school can not be replicated. However, our district is developing resources to support students in their learning while we are closed. Teachers and staff are meeting virtually every week to develop alternative learning options for students.
NOTE: Please make sure we have an updated email on file! Login to the SISK12 Parent Portal to view what we currently have listed.
We have created a framework for elementary learners that essentially includes an activity for each subject area every day that will be pushed out weekly to families. Teachers will use the communication platform (email, Seesaw, Dojo, Smore, etc.) that they've been using all school year to get this information to you. This school work is considered "optional" for our students, but is a way to keep your student on track and growing academically during this time. For those without internet access, CLICK HERE to request printed packets of work that can be picked up from your home elementary building after 9:00 a.m. each Monday. As a reminder, our building parking lots have wifi access, and additional wifi access points are in the graphic below.
Secondary families received overall information from Mr. Overstreet (HERE) and Mrs. Dishman (HERE) on Monday, March 23. In addition, individual teachers have reached out about specific coursework. Work will primarily be done on Canvas, the district's learning management tool that has been in place for several years. As a reminder, all secondary students have personal school-issued Chromebooks to use for this work. If you need assistance logging on to Canvas visit CLICK HERE. Suggested learning activities will be provided daily for each course a student is enrolled in. Scores on these activities will be to the benefit of the student and will not negatively impact their academic standing in the course. For those without internet access, contact your RMS or RHS teacher(s) to request printed packets of work that can be picked up from school.
Teachers will be available to provide feedback on student work throughout this time. As a reminder, our building parking lots have wifi access.

  • covid Coronavirus Information: District Closed Through April 24

Per the provided link and in response to the "stay at home" order issued for our area, Republic School District will join the majority of other public schools in our area in closing now through April 24 in an effort to help isolate the spread of COVID-19. This is a decision that was not taken lightly. However, we feel it is the best option at this point to do our part in supporting the healthcare system in “flattening the curve” while also protecting the health of students and employees. Please view the link for full details.

The Republic School District has developed this page to address practices and procedures regarding coronavirus, COVID-19. In addition, resources from the CDC along with state and local health department are listed below. This page will also serve as a resource for event impacts regarding COVID-19.
