  • REMINDER: No Meal Charges in May

As a reminder, school meals (breakfast & lunch) cannot be charged during the month of May. For students to purchase meals at school there must be a positive balance in the student's account. If a student has a negative balance of any amount, a Tiger Meal (soy butter sandwich & milk) will be provided until the account has a positive balance. This is not applicable to students receiving free meal benefits.

All meal balances carry over into next school year. If your child ends this school year with a negative balance, he/she will also begin the 2019-2020 school year with a negative balance.

Balances can be checked online thru your Parent Portal account or by contacting the Food Service Office: (417) 735-3753.

  • Roundabout Construction & Impact to RHS Entrances

roundabout Construction of the roundabout on M Highway near the north entrance of Republic High School has begun. MoDOT has informed the district that the current north entrance of RHS is in the way of construction. Therefore, a temporary north entrance to RHS has been created is open to traffic, closing the original entrance. The current traffic flow at RHS will not be impacted by this as essentially the north entrance is just being shifted slightly to the east out of the way of construction.
The temporary entrance will be constructed of well-compacted rock/gravel that will withstand traffic, including loaded school buses. The approach pavement from M Highway onto the temporary entrance will be paved with asphalt. MoDOT and the City of Republic will share in the cost of the temporary entrance.
Once the regular school year is over in May, the temporary entrance will be removed and all traffic entering and leaving the high school will have to use the west entrance off of ZZ Highway until the roundabout is completed prior to the beginning of the 2019-2020 school year in August. This means all summer school traffic will need to use the west entrance off of ZZ Highway. Thank you in advance for your patience and cooperation!

  • Updated Elementary Boundaries for 2019-20 School Year

Over the last few years our community has experienced many changes in regards to where people are living within our school district. That said, this has created disparity regarding the number of students in each of our elementary buildings. To best meet the needs of our students and to help us achieve our mission of "preparing each student for a successful future", it is important that each of our elementary buildings have similar numbers of students being served in them. We've been monitoring these changes, and brainstorming ways to address this disparity over the last several months. In doing so, it has been determined that the best solution will be to update the elementary boundaries which will be implemented for the 2019-20 school year. Visit for additional information. Impacted families will be notified via mailed letter and email the week of February 25.
