To promote fitness and healthy living, Schofield Elementary is continuing the running/walking club. K-5 students of all fitness levels are encouraged to participate! This group will meet weekly to run/walk and set individual training goals. While not a requirement, our ultimate goal is for all participants to complete the ROAR Run on May 4th.
Schofield will be walking/running every Monday morning from 7:30-8:10 a.m. beginning April 1st through April 30th (five sessions). Students must return a permission form by Thursday, March 28th in order to participate on the first day. Run Club t-shirts are also available for purchase. The cost is $10 which is also due on March 28th. Please email questions to email@example.com or call the Schofield office at (417) 732-3610.
Please join us from 6:00-7:00 p.m. as we welcome our 2019-2020 kindergarten students and families!

State assessments begin April 22 and run through May 3 for the Republic School District. Students in grades 3-8 will be participating in the MAP Grade-Level Assessments, and high school students will take End-of-Course (EOC) assessments. A more detailed schedule will be coming from your child's school closer to the testing window opening. We encourage families to avoid scheduling appointments during this time frame. We appreciate your continued partnership in your child's education!

Over the last few years our community has experienced many changes in regards to where people are living within our school district. That said, this has created disparity regarding the number of students in each of our elementary buildings. To best meet the needs of our students and to help us achieve our mission of "preparing each student for a successful future", it is important that each of our elementary buildings have similar numbers of students being served in them. We've been monitoring these changes, and brainstorming ways to address this disparity over the last several months. In doing so, it has been determined that the best solution will be to update the elementary boundaries which will be implemented for the 2019-20 school year. Visit https://www.republicschools.org/boundaryupdate for additional information. Impacted families will be notified via mailed letter and email the week of February 25.
This is a great tool that allows you to see grade information, meal service balances and to ensure contact information is correct. Speaking of this, please login to the Parent Portal and make sure the address, email and phone numbers we have on file for you are correct. You can find this information under the “Update Household Data” icon. Any changes you submit will be sent to your child's building office for final approval. Having updated contact information helps us to be able to communicate with families throughout the school year, and it also helps us determine correct busing routes.
