State assessments begin April 22 and run through May 3 for the Republic School District. Students in grades 3-8 will be participating in the MAP Grade-Level Assessments, and high school students will take End-of-Course (EOC) assessments. A more detailed schedule will be coming from your child's school closer to the testing window opening. We encourage families to avoid scheduling appointments during this time frame. We appreciate your continued partnership in your child's education!
Join us on May 7 from 5:30-8:00 p.m. at Republic High School for a "Republic Arts" showcase of our secondary students! You'll be able to experience wonderful performances by our various choirs and bands along with our talented theatre and speech/debate students. In addition, the hallways will be lined with artwork created by our student artists. Treats will be available from our culinary arts department, and dinner can be purchased from our RHS Band Booster Club. CLICK HERE for a full schedule.
As a reminder, school meals (breakfast & lunch) cannot be charged during the month of May. For students to purchase meals at school there must be a positive balance in the student's account. If a student has a negative balance of any amount, a Tiger Meal (soy butter sandwich & milk) will be provided until the account has a positive balance. This is not applicable to students receiving free meal benefits.
All meal balances carry over into next school year. If your child ends this school year with a negative balance, he/she will also begin the 2019-2020 school year with a negative balance.
Balances can be checked online thru your Parent Portal account or by contacting the Food Service Office: (417) 735-3753.
Attention incoming Republic School District Kindergarten families! We'd like to invite you to Kindergarten Orientation! This is a night where your whole family gets to attend your new school building to learn all about your child's upcoming Kindergarten experience. Make plans to join us!

Over the last few years our community has experienced many changes in regards to where people are living within our school district. That said, this has created disparity regarding the number of students in each of our elementary buildings. To best meet the needs of our students and to help us achieve our mission of "preparing each student for a successful future", it is important that each of our elementary buildings have similar numbers of students being served in them. We've been monitoring these changes, and brainstorming ways to address this disparity over the last several months. In doing so, it has been determined that the best solution will be to update the elementary boundaries which will be implemented for the 2019-20 school year. Visit https://www.republicschools.org/boundaryupdate for additional information. Impacted families will be notified via mailed letter and email the week of February 25.
