8:45 AM Schofield First Grade Trip - Zoo
To promote fitness and healthy living, Schofield Elementary is continuing the running/walking club. K-5 students of ALL fitness levels are encouraged to participate! This group will meet weekly to run/walk and set individual training goals. While NOT a requirement, our ultimate goal is for all participants to complete the ROAR Run (walk/run event). We will be walking/running every Monday morning from 7:30-8:05 am beginning April 6th through April 27th (4 sessions).
*If you are joining us for the ROAR RUN on May 2nd, you will need to complete a separate registration form closer to the race date.
The goal of Schofield Running Club is to get students moving, create healthy habits, and accomplish goals together with peers. Students will be under the supervision of Schofield staff on training days. Parents are responsible for dropping students off beginning at 7:30am, in the normal Schofield drop-off lane.
Our Schofield Run Club kids will be offered t-shirts this year for $10! We will be wearing these during the 5K ROAR RUN on May 2nd! Please send in $10 in cash if you would like to purchase one for your child. Feel free to purchase one as a parent also. You can wear it when you run/walk with us for the Roar Run!
During this closure buildings and facilities will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. We are making our offices available by phone and by appointment for our patrons, but are doing so with limited numbers of employees on a rotational basis.
If your elementary student is unable to access online work from his/her teacher, please complete the form at https://forms.gle/8BqCHSVVHR8ziKgX9. A printed packet will be created for you and made available for pick-up at your student's elementary building for the following week.
Per the provided link and in response to the "stay at home" order issued for our area, Republic School District will join the majority of other public schools in our area in closing now through April 24 in an effort to help isolate the spread of COVID-19. This is a decision that was not taken lightly. However, we feel it is the best option at this point to do our part in supporting the healthcare system in “flattening the curve” while also protecting the health of students and employees. Please view the link for full details.
The Republic School District has developed this page to address practices and procedures regarding coronavirus, COVID-19. In addition, resources from the CDC along with state and local health department are listed below. This page will also serve as a resource for event impacts regarding COVID-19. https://www.republicschools.org/healthupdates
The Greene County Clerk's Office has notified the district that the previously scheduled Board of Education election on April 7 has been moved to June 2, 2020. Current Board of Education members will remain in service until the June 2, 2020 election.
