  • Lyon Fall Party

    Lyon PTO will host Fall Parties on Friday, October 27th. PTO will host the Fal Party in the Lyon gym during the following times:

    4th grade: 8:30-9:15

    5th grade: 9:30-10:15

    1st grade 10:30-11:15

    Kindergarten 11:30-1:15

    3rd grade 12:30-1:15

    2nd grade 1:30-2:15

    Lyon's office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 pm.

  • End of Day Procedures

    Monday through Thursday: Due to end of day procedures, there will be no transportation changes after 3:00 p.m. and no student check outs after 3:15 p.m.**Friday: There will be no transportation changes after 2:00 p.m. and no student check outs after 2:15 p.m. Please call the office if you have any questions. Thank you for your understanding.

  • Lyon Music Program

    Join us this Thursday, November 9th as the Third, Fourth and Fifth grade students perform an  American music concert. The concert will be in the Lyon Elementary gym. Third grade will perform at 6:00p.m. Fourth grade will perform at 6:45p.m. Fifth grade will perform at 7:30p.m. Students need to arrive in the cafeteria to line up 15 minutes before their performance time.  We look forward to seeing you on November 9th.

  • Veterans's Day Assembly

    Thank You Veterans


    The students at Lyon Elementary are hosting a Veterans' Day assembly to recognize contributions that veterans have made to our country.

    This ceremony will be held on Friday, November 10th at 8:45 a.m. in the Lyon gymnasium.

    We wish to extend a special invitation to the veterans who are family members of our students. Please notify the school letting us know you or a family member will be in attendance at this event by contacting your child's teacher. Feel free to wear your uniform to this event.

  • Trevyor Fisher Named New Activities and Athletic Director Effective July 1, 2018

    Trevyor Fisher The Republic School District Board of Education is excited to announce Trevyor Fisher as the new Activities and Athletics Director beginning July 1, 2018. Mr. Fisher currently serves as a PE teacher at Republic High School and the varsity boys’ basketball coach, a role he will continue through the current school year and season. His prior experience has provided him with a variety of skills that will serve the students who participate in extra-curricular activities well.


    Mr. Fisher began his coaching career over 13 years ago at Missouri State University where he served as the Director of Basketball Operations. This position required Mr. Fisher to develop and utilize logistical and organizational skills along with the implementation of public relation efforts, fundraising campaigns and community involvement.


    He then joined the Republic School District team in 2012 in the roles that were mentioned above. As the boys’ varsity basketball coach at RHS he led the team in back to back Class 4 State Championships in 2013 and 2014. Also in those years, Mr. Fisher was named Class 4 MBCA Coach of the Year and District 11 Coach of the Year. In 2013 he was named Class 4 Missouri Sportswriters Coach of the Year, and his 2012 and 2016 teams also won Blue and Gold Tournament Championships.  


    Mr. Fisher indicated that he looks forward to “collaborating with students, teachers and coaches to grow the success and integrity of extra-curricular programs through building a culture of grit, determination and hard work.” Please join us in congratulating Mr. Fisher on his new role that will begin next school year.

  • FREE Flu Vaccine Clinics Coming to Schools via Jordan Valley Community Health Center 


    In partnership with Jordan Valley Community Health Center, seasonal flu vaccines (shot form only) will be available to ALL STUDENTS free of charge on October 19 and 26. Jordan Valley's mobile health unit will come to each of our school buildings to provide this service. To participate, complete the consent form FOUND HERE and return to school at least one week prior to the clinic. The consent form refers to insurance information, please ignore this as this clinic is available to ALL students, regardless of insurance status. Please contact the nurse in your student's building should you have questions.

    October 26: RMS, Sweeny, Early Childhood Center and Lyon

  • No School November 6 and 7

    Fall Break and STAR Summit (a school improvement day for teachers in conjunction with Nixa, Ozark and Willard), will take place on November 6 and 7. There will be no school for students on these days. Cub Care will be available for K-8 students. Families can register HERE now through November 2 at 4:00 p.m.

  • Individual Student State Assessment Reports

    Each spring students across the district participate in state assessments. We have been notified by the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) that Individual Student Reports (ISR) are available.  During Parent Teacher Conferences, which will be held the week of October 30 (more information to come), individual student reports will be distributed to students who are currently in grades 4 and 5 that completed the MAP-GLA test last spring. Students who are currently in grades 6-9 that completed the MAP-GLA assessment last spring will receive individual reports attached to their next progress report from the Republic Middle School or Republic High School. A guide to interpreting your child's results will be included with the individual student report.  If you have any questions or would like to see your child's report prior to the aforementioned distribution times, please contact your child's school counselor.
