Dr. Beth Engelhart, Sweeny Elementary Principal

Beth This is my 21st year serving in public education. I spent the majority of my teaching career here in Republic. I have taught grades first, third, fourth and fifth. After teaching in Republic, I spent 6 years working for Springfield Public Schools where I served as an assistant principal for one year and a building principal for four years. I have my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Drury University. I obtained my Masters, Specialist and Doctorate in Educational Administration from Lindenwood University. My husband, Jeff, and I have been blessed with three children. Carley Beth is 19 years old and recently graduated from Republic High School. Morgan is 16 and is attending Republic High School. Our 10 year old, Cooper, attends Sweeny. Jeff and I stay very busy getting our three kiddos to their various activities and we love every minute of it.

On behalf of the Sweeny Team, I would like to welcome you and your family to Sweeny Elementary. We feel so honored to have the opportunity to serve you. Our goal is to create an educational environment where students and staff are excited about entering our doors each day. We are committed to providing opportunities for learners to excel both academically and through their character and leadership capabilities. As we embark on this great journey, it is critical that we partner together to achieve our mission. Each family’s involvement is vital to the success of our students. We are thankful for your suggestions, energy, time and support. Thank you for sharing your children with us each day!
