Mr. David M Krudwig - Artistic Director/Technical Director

David Krudwig is in his first year at RepMO but eighteenth-year teaching (other 18 at Parkview High School in Springfield). David was the first teacher in Springfield Public Schools to separate "Drama" classes into Technical Theatre and Acting courses; he was also the first to offer Dual Enrollment credit for theatre coursework. Mr. Krudwig also co-founded the Springfield Missouri Cappies Chapter. Cappies recognizes excellence in high school theatrics. While at Parkview they were also the only school to be nominated in both Best Play and Best Musical Awards for all five years the Cappies have existed in the Springfield area. Mr. Krudwig earned his Master's Degree in Directing in 2014 from the prestigious Chicago College of the Performing Arts at Roosevelt University, Chicago Illinois. He is a 2000 graduate of Missouri State University's Theatre and Dance Department and a proud four-year veteran of Missouri State University's summer professional Tent Theatre, where he worked as actor, master carpenter and assistant technical director. Under Mr. Krudwig's direction the Parkview Theatre Department is the only Springfield school to have a performance selected to perform at the prestigious International Thespian Festival and MSHSAA District Champions in the One-Act Play. Some of Mr. Krudwig's students have gone on to study at such universities as Roosevelt University in Chicago, North Carolina School for the Arts in Winston-Salem, Webster Univesity St. Louis, MO, Evansville University, IN, and NYU. Mr. Krudwig moonlights as an actor in local TV, radio, and independent films. Mr. Krudwig and his wife Brandy have three daughters, Liberty, Lillian & Genevieve.  Mr Krudwig is excited to start this new journey and program at The New Tiger Theatre at Republic High School.

Mr. Kevin Williams - Music Director

Kevin Williams received both his Bachelors and Masters degrees from Missouri State University in 1987 and 1994 respectively. He studied voice with Dr. Guy Bedford Webb and Dale Everett; and piano with Patricia Pierce. Kevin has held several teaching positions in Missouri including the public school systems of Cabool, Aurora, Cherokee Middle School (Springfield), and Glendale High School (Springfield). He also served as accompanist for the Parkway School District in Saint Louis. While in Saint Louis, Kevin participated in the production of two classical recordings with the Saint Louis Chamber Chorus- “Rome’s Golden Poets” and “A Spanish Christmas” where he was featured as baritone soloist.

In the 1990’s Kevin was active in the Springfield Regional Opera. He served as chorus master for numerous productions, and accepted the roles of Angelloti in Tosca, Alcindoro in La Boheme, and Filbert Nabgratz in Meanwhile Back at Cinderella’s.

Kevin has twice served as vocal vice-president for the South-Central Missouri Music Educators Association. Mr. Williams also has served on the music staff at National Avenue Christian Church in Springfield for 15 years- ending this tenure in August of 2014.

Kevin is currently in his 6th year of teaching at Republic High School. He would like to thank is loyal and capable assistant Kathy Phillips for all of her contributions to the vocal department at Republic High School. He would also like to thank all of the administrators at Republic High School for their unwavering support.   Special thanks also go out to the students, their parents, the teachers at Republic High School, and Dr. Chance Wistrom superintendent for all of their support.

Mrs. Kate Hemphill - Assistant Director

Kate Hemphill graduated from Missouri State University with her Bachelor’s degree in Speech and Theatre Education with an emphasis in Theatre in May 2017. While working on her degree Kate did the stage makeup for a show at the Springfield Contemporary Theatre on their production of Shining City. Kate completed her student teaching at Parkview High School under Mr. Krudwig. Since graduating she has worked with Mr. Krudwig on the production team for Pippin as well as directing the Readers Theatre for the past two years. She has also worked with Springfield’s Shakespeare at the Columns as Scenic Painter on Much Ado About Nothing and as Stage Manager for Cymbeline. Kate looks forward to working with Mr. Krudwig again and the students at Republic High School.

Miss Victoria Billington - Choreographer

Victoria Billington received her BFA in Dance Performance from Missouri State University in 2014. While working on her degree, she danced in Inertia Dance Company (artistic director Darryl Clark). In the Spring of 2015, she debuted as a choreographer for Inertia. Victoria now works as Education Coordinator for the The Springfield Dance Alliance. As well as having a passion for dance, Victoria has always had a passion for music. Winning national and state honors with her piano and voice performance, she now teaches piano and voice at Point Performing Arts. She also holds the position of Assistant Competition Team Director for Point Performing Arts, teaching and choreographing for children of all ages. She has a love of music and believes wholeheartedly in what dance can do for a person’s quality of life; more specifically, the notion of self-discovery.
