My journey has come full circle with being RepMo's middle school nurse, as I attended K-12th grade in the district.  My office is referred to as 'The Hive' because it's always buzzing with activity and my aide and I are super busy little bees.  Taking care of 1300+ students and staff is a challenge that I take very seriously.  I know how daunting it can be for families to entrust the care of their kids, especially those who have brittle health diagnoses, so thank you for trusting me with their health care needs.  My nursing background began in the OBGYN world, but school nursing has become my calling.  Some of the causes very close to my heart that I support are those related to child abuse awareness and prevention, autism, our military services members and their families, and mental health awareness.

Ashley Dlouhy, HCA

Hi!  My name is Ashley Dlouhy and I am the Health Care Aide at RMS. I love working at RMS!!! I have always worked with children or in healthcare, so working at RMS is the perfect blind of both worlds!!!

I have a degree in Certified Surgical Technology from OTC and worked as a CST for 10 years. Most of which was with an OB-GYN as a private scrub. My passion changed from Obstetrics and Gynecology to Autism when my son was diagnosed with Autism. As a parent of a child with Autism I have a huge place in my heart for those with special needs and the families that love them. I have learned from personal experience that those who care for our children all day while we are at work can make or break a child. They can cause damage in so many ways or they can build up that child for success in even the "smallest" areas of life. RMS has been the perfect place for me to pursue my greatest passion of helping those who are so often misunderstood. Not just those with Autism but every student I come in contact with. One thing I have learned from my son is that our needs as humans are not always visible from the outside.

My RMS teammates are some of the best around when it comes to caring for all the possible needs a student could have. I am proud to work with each and every one of them to help meet the needs of your child!!!
