Ms. Rochelle Opitz-Shumaker

Hello!  I am Ms. Shumaker and I would like to introduce myself.  I am originally from the great state of Minnesota where it snows 9 months out of the year.  I attended South Dakota State University in Brookings, South Dakota and meet my husband there.  After graduation my husband and I decided to try a new adventure and moved to Missouri and have decided that less snow and cold was quite nice. 

I not only have obtained my teacher certification for middle school math, science, Communication Arts and social studies, I have obtained certification for high school social studies and elementary education.  I hold a BS in Sociology with a double minor in Geography and Criminal Justice.  I have since earned my Masters in Educational Administration. 

I am honored to be able to have your child in my class and will do my best to help them succeed in every way possible.  Thank you for sharing your child with me.
