My name is Melinda Thrasher and I am excited to be one of the Special Education Teachers at Lyon! This will be my 14th year in education, but my first year with the Republic School District. I have spent the last 13 years at various schools in Springfield. I am a third-generation Republic graduate (Class of 2002). I am married to my husband, Devin, and we have two daughters, Aubrey, who will be at Freshman this year, and Mia, who will be a 6th grader. They both attended Price Elementary. We have three dogs, Lucy, Ghost, and Beefy, two cats, Daisy and Whiskey, and two chickens (they don't have names).
