Mr. Chris Lockmiller, Sweeny Elementary Principal

lockmiller This is my 12th year serving the Republic School District and first year as building principal. I have spent four-and-a-half years teaching fourth and fifth grade at Lyon Elementary. I then spent the last seven-and-a-half years as the Assistant Principal at Sweeny. I received my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Missouri State, my Master's Degree in Educational Administration from Lindenwood University, and a Specialist Degree in Education Administration from Missouri State.  I have lived in Republic since I was four, and love giving back to the community that gave me so much. My wife, Morgan, and I have a two year old daughter, Ellie. She is full of spunk and definitely keeps us on our toes!

On behalf of the Sweeny Team, I would like to welcome you and your family to Sweeny Elementary! We are honored to have the opportunity to serve you and your children each day. Our goal is to create an educational environment where students and staff are excited about entering our doors each day. We are committed to providing opportunities for learners to excel both academically and as leaders. We look forward to partnering with our students, families, and community members. Each family’s involvement is vital to the success of our students. We are thankful for your time, energy, and support. Thank you for sharing your children with us each day!
