Ms. Amber Shuck, McCulloch Elementary Principal

Throughout her 17 year career in education Ms. Shuck has developed a very full toolbox of educational resources, and she is looking forward to sharing those tools with the McCulloch community. Currently, Ms. Shuck is in her second year as head principal at Hollister Elementary. Prior to her time in Hollister Ms. Shuck served as a classroom teacher and literacy coach for ten years here in Republic at Sweeny and Schofield elementaries. She also held similar roles at Willard School District as she began her career in education.

Ms. Shuck holds a degree in elementary education, a master’s degree in educational administration and also in K-12: special reading and she is currently pursuing a doctorate in educational administration. With experience in leading a Leader in Me school and implementing initiatives like PBIS and classroom technology integration, we are confident Ms. Shuck is the right instructional leader to help the McCulloch community continue to thrive.

Mrs. Helen Williams, McCulloch Elementary Assistant Principal

helen  I am so excited to be back at McCulloch for the 2018-2019 school year! I graduated from Mizzou with a Bachelor's Degree in Human Development and Family Studies. After graduation I was an assistant director of a St. Louis day care. I came back home to Springfield and obtained my teaching certification in early childhood education and elementary education. Later, I earned my Masters Degree in Education Leadership from William Woods University.
Throughout the course of my teaching career, I taught various elementary grade levels. In fact, I taught 1st grade for 9 years! Most recently, I was a teacher for Springfield Public Schools.
My husband, Lance and I have two children, Gavin (8) and Annie (5).
I love McCulloch! I am so happy to be with the wonderful staff, students and families!
