The Republic Board of Education has approved Mr. Bret Gallion to be an RMS assistant principal and Dr. Callie Newton-Woods to be an RHS assistant principal for the 2022-23 school year. Please join us in congratulating these individuals on their new roles! #RepMOProud

RMS Assistant Principal, Mr. Bret Gallion

Mr. Gallion has been teaching math at Parkview High School since 2011 where he has also been serving as the head baseball coach. During his time at Parkview he has participated on various building and district leadership committees, and has gained valuable experience subbing for building administrators and supervising activities. Mr. Gallion has expressed his passion for supporting others to be successful through relationship building while also maintaining accountability.

RHS Assistant Principal, Dr. Callie Newton Woods

Dr. Callie Newton-Woods has been with the Republic School District as a high school counselor since 2018. Prior to coming to Republic, Dr. Newton-Woods served as a counselor, PE/health teacher, department head, biology teacher and basketball coach within Springfield Public Schools and the Burleson School District in Texas throughout her 16 year career in education. She has also served as an adjunct professor at both Drury and Evangel since 2012. 

Dr. Newton-Woods will bring her leadership skills and experiences as a former Republic Tiger student and current member of our counseling team to our administrative team to create a seamless transition in serving our students. Though the work is different, her knowledge of our systems, her organization and her work ethic will greatly benefit our students, staff and community!
