Introduction Message

The RHS Fishing Team was established in the Fall of 2013. High School competitive Bass Fishing is an emerging activity being offered through MSHSAA for students of Missouri High Schools. This is a project that was initiated and proposed by Republic's Jim Huson in 2008 for all students of Missouri High Schools. Competitive Bass Fishing for High School students has been a passion of Mr. Huson for over 15 years. Last year the RHS Fishing Team won the first ever State Championship of High School Bass Fishing held at Table Rock Lake. The RHS Fishing Team is made up of kids who are serious about the opportunities available in the Marine industry. Kids wanting to join the RHS Fishing Team are encouraged to have previous basic knowledge of seasonal strategies, knot tying, casting, and bait presentations. Previous tournament fishing experience is always helpful as well. Not required, but helpful.
