  • March is Disney Movie Month at The Nerd Herd. They will be watching The Aristocats on March 20th, and Peter Pan on March 27th. They meeting on Wednesdays after school until 4:30 in room 217. Feel free to join us!
  • Are you interested in improving school spirit, working with Special Olympics or planning dances and assemblies? Join RHS Student Council! Please see or email Mrs. Bollinger for more details. Applications will be due March 22nd.
  • Spring Sports Pictures: All seniors playing boy's tennis, boy's golf, girl's soccer, baseball and track need to meet in the main gym on Wednesday, March 27 @ 7:30 a.m. All seniors will need to be in their sports uniform for the photo and need to be on time.
  • AP Testing Dates are coming up soon! If you are currently in AP American Government, AP Calculus, AP Chemistry or AP Computer Science and want to take the test, you must pay a $15 deposit for each test you want to take no later that Wednesday, March 27. Please bring cash or a check made out to RHS to the counseling office to sign up. Complete testing information was sent to your student's email.

 

  • Do you plan on attending PROM? Remember that by April 1st, any student who has less than 90% attendance for the current school year will not be permitted to attend prom or any field trips after April 1st. This policy includes all students who plan on attending prom, including underclassmen who are invited to prom by upperclassmen. Students will have the option to file an appeal to explain special circumstances if their attendance is less than 90%. Read the announcement in Canvas from Mr. Stephens for more details on how to see your current attendance percentage and how to file an appeal.

 

  • The prom chocolate fundraiser has already sold 85 boxes, which is just about 30 percent of the goal of 250 boxes. The fundraiser ends March 27th. If you're not planning on going to prom, you can still help fundraise for the big event! Every box of chocolate counts. Thanks to all who have helped out so far!

 

  • The Tiger Theatre presents their spring play The Man Who Came To Dinner, performing on April 4, 5, & 6 at 7:00 pm and April 7 at 2:00 pm.  For tickets, call the box office at 735-3762 or click www.republicschools.org/Page/4151.
  • RHS Yearbooks can be purchased online through April 30. The cost is $60 and can be ordered at yearbookforever.com
  •  
    Yearbooks will be distributed at Registration Day in August; any graduates who cannot make it that day can pick up their book from the main office during school business hours.
  • Attention current sophomores and juniors! If you are interested in attending the OTC Career Center, GO CAPS or Middle College next year, now is the time to apply! Information was sent to you through Canvas, so check your email for details and directions on how to apply. Remember that even if you apply for a specialty program, you will still need to fill out a complete course request schedule for RHS next year. Please see Mrs. Bowser in the counseling office if you need assistance.
  • Are you a grammar monster? Do words make you swell with sweet satisfaction? Are you interested in submitting your work into writing contests? Then come join Write Club! We meet in Room 228 on Tuesdays after school until 3:45. Be there or be a misplaced modifier!
  • Math Teamers!!! We have moved our meetings to Thursdays after school at 2:45 in room 327! Email or talk to Mr. Cowan if you have any questions. And remember: MATH IS LIFE!!!
