Early Childhood Special Education
Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) is a program designed to address the developmental learning needs of children ages 3-5. Staff at our Early Childhood Center work closely with families and community resources to enhance the social/emotional, physical, learning, and communication development of young children. Educational plans, based on specific eligibility criteria outlined by the Missouri State Plan for Special Education, are developed and tailored to each child as an individual and specially designed services are provided accordingly at no cost to parents.
The services provided by the Republic Early Childhood Special Education Program include assessment, classroom and itinerant teachers, speech and language pathologists, occupational and physical therapists, teachers assistants, and a nurse.
