Mrs. Camie Lyons, McCulloch Elementary Principal

Mrs. Camie Lyons is entering her third year as Principal for McCulloch Elementary. Previously, she served four years as Assistant Principal. She has served as an educator and building leader in the Republic School District for 12 years and led a 5th grade classroom for seven of those.

Mrs. Lyons grew up in Springfield, Missouri and attended Missouri State University where she obtained her undergraduate degree in elementary education. She has also received her master's and specialist degrees in educational administration from Missouri State University. 

Mrs. Lyons is married to her high school sweetheart and they have two kids, Ellyott and Greyson. Ellyott will be in 6th grade at Republic Intermediate this year and Greyson will be in 2nd grade. Her family loves to spend time outdoors, and they spend their summers on camping trips and vacations. She is an avid reader and loves to curl up on the couch with a great book.

Ms. Emily Hanson, McCulloch Elementary Assistant Principal

Ms. Emily Hanson is starting her first year as Assistant Principal for McCulloch Elementary. Ms. Hanson has worked at McCulloch Elementary for the last five years, teaching one year of second grade and four years of first grade. Previously, Ms. Hanson worked for the Monett School District as a kindergarten teacher for three years and a first grade teacher for seven years. 

Ms. Hanson grew up in Nixa, Missouri and attended Missouri State University for her undergraduate degree in Elementary Education with an Early Childhood Education Certification, followed by Arkansas State University and then again to Missouri State University for her graduate degrees in Educational Administration and TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages). 

Ms. Hanson’s personal belief in working with students is that everything related to student success is built on positive and trusting relationships. She believes that it is the duty of every educator to foster and maintain a healthy classroom and school culture so that all staff and students can learn and grow in a safe and supportive environment. Ms. Hanson truly believes that all students are capable of exemplifying McCulloch’s mission statement of “serving together to be a kind, high-achieving, lifelong learner.” 

Ms. Hanson lives in Republic and spends her time outside of school reading, gardening, and taking her dog, Daisy, on walks around town. She is thrilled to continue her work with the amazing students and families of the McCulloch community!
