At its meeting on March 23, the Republic Board of Education approved Assistant Principals for Republic Middle School and Republic High School for the 2026-2027 school year.
Republic Middle School - Mr. Justin Bennett
Mr. Justin Bennett was approved as Republic Middle School Assistant Principal for the 2026-2027 school year.
Mr. Bennett currently serves at Republic Middle School, where he has been an eighth grade English Language Arts teacher since 2014. In his role, he supports students in a co-teaching environment and works closely with colleagues to meet the needs of all learners.
Since 2019, Mr. Bennett has served as the school’s ELA Department Head, facilitating Professional Learning Community (PLC) meetings, supporting the ELA hiring process and helping guide department improvement planning through data analysis.
During the current school year, Mr. Bennett has also taken on additional leadership responsibilities within the Republic School District. As Systems Support at Republic Middle School, he has helped develop a data-driven support system for at-risk students and worked to streamline systems that support daily school operations. He also serves as the district’s Co-Teacher Facilitator, leading professional development and supporting co-teaching teams across the district.
Bennett has also served as a PLC leader, contributed to Response to Intervention (RTI) systems and completed a summer school administrative internship while supporting building leadership as a fill-in administrator.
Mr. Bennett is instructionally strong, organized and relationship-oriented, with a growth mindset, positive attitude and strong communication skills. We look forward to the continued impact he will have in this new role.
Republic High School - Mr. Scott McGee
Republic High School is pleased to announce that the Board of Education has approved Mr. Scott McGee as Assistant Principal for the 2026-2027 school year.
Mr. McGee brings nearly two decades of experience in education and student leadership. He currently serves at Willard Public Schools, where he has taught social studies since 2007. During his time at Willard High School, Mr. McGee has also served as Social Studies Department Head, Head Baseball Coach and Summer School Co-Principal.
Prior to joining Willard, Mr. McGee taught at Ozark Junior High School, where he worked with at-risk students and taught social studies and English.
Mr. McGee is a resilient and highly motivated leader who builds strong relationships through clear communication, positivity and a strong work ethic. His leadership experience both in the classroom and through extracurricular programs has prepared him well to support students and staff at the high school level.
We look forward to the positive impact Mr. McGee will have on the school community as he helps support student success and continued growth.
Both positions take effect July 1, 2026.
