Schedule Breakdown
Freshmen Schedule:
2:45 PM – 3:00 PM: Arrive for Orientation. Enter through the main front entrance & pick up your name tag.
3:00 PM – 3:45 PM: Opening Assembly
3:45 PM – 5:30 PM: Small Group Activities with Ambassadors:
Tour the high school
Learn lunch procedures
Learn tips & tricks about RHS
5:30 PM – 5:50 PM: Closing Session
5:45 PM – 6:30 PM: Schedule Run Simulation
Parents / Guardians Schedule:
2:45 PM – 3:00 PM: Drop off your freshman at the main front entrance. Student Ambassadors will be at the doors to greet and direct freshmen as they arrive.
5:30 PM – 5:45 PM: Parents arrive for Freshman Parent Orientation in the auditorium.
5:45 PM – 6:30 PM: Freshman Parent Orientation in the auditorium.
6:30 PM: Parent & Freshman Orientation ends.
Additional Information
Freshmen: Please wear comfortable clothes and walking shoes, and bring a writing utensil.
Parents: We feel your student will get maximum benefits from orientation if they are able to attend the entire event from 3:00 PM – 6:30 PM. However, we understand transportation may be difficult during this time frame, so if bringing your student late is the only option, please bring them late. We feel attending part of the event is still beneficial.
Note: Due to the scheduling of facility space, faculty members, and student leaders, we are unable to offer an alternative date. If you and/or your student are not able to attend, we encourage you to attend Open House on August 18th.
