Mr. Chris Stallings serves as the Principal of Republic Intermediate School. Prior to becoming a Tiger, he was the Secondary School Principal for Fordland Schools.He previously served in the Fair Grove School District for 14 years in a variety of leadership positions, including High School Assistant Principal, Middle School Principal, High School Principal and Executive Director of Teaching and Learning. Mr. Stallings also has experience as Assistant Principal for Hollister Schools, and Social Studies teacher for Bolivar High School and Ash Grove Elementary. 

Mr. Stallings holds a Bachelor of Science in Education with a focus on Social Studies from Missouri State University, as well as two Master of Science in Education degrees – one in Curriculum and Instruction, the other in Administration. He also completed a specialist degree in Education Administration. 

Mr. Stallings’ extensive education and leadership experience will support the success of staff and students at the new Republic Intermediate School. 

Mr. Stallings joined the Republic team in July of 2024. He has spent the 2024-2025 school year collaborating with other district leaders to finalize building plans, hiring employees, building relationships with staff and students, among other responsibilities.

Mrs. Leanne Gove, current Assistant Principal at Lyon Elementary, will serve as Assistant Principal at Republic Intermediate School starting July 1, 2025. 

Mrs. Gove has been the Assistant Principal at Lyon Elementary since 2017. Previously, Mrs. Gove taught 4th and 5th grades at Price Elementary. Before coming to Republic, she spent 9 years as an elementary teacher in Ash Grove and Aurora School Districts. 

Mrs. Gove holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Evangel University, as well as a Master of Education in Elementary Administration and an Educational Specialist Degree from William Woods University.

With extensive experience in education, Mrs. Gove is passionate about student success while also developing a positive school culture for students and staff to thrive. Her servant leadership qualities will support the students, staff and families of Republic Intermediate School.

Mrs. Miranda Hagin-Schaefer, current Republic Middle School Assistant Principal, will serve as Assistant Principal at Republic Intermediate School starting July 1, 2025. 

Mrs. Hagin-Schaefer has served as Assistant Principal at RMS since 2022. Before becoming a Republic Tiger, she gained experience as the Coordinator of Site Interventions at Hickory Hills within Springfield Public Schools (SPS). In that role, she helped identify student behavior and attendance goals, while implementing intervention strategies to assist in reaching those goals. In addition, she has served as a summer school principal for 10 years at SPS. Prior to her administrative roles, Mrs. Hagin-Schaefer taught fifth grade, second grade and first grade in Springfield. 

Mrs. Hagin-Schaefer holds a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and a Master’s in Educational Administration from Evangel University, as well as a Specialist of Educational Administration degree from Missouri State University. 

A skilled educator and effective school administrator, Mrs. Hagin-Schaefer is dedicated to the academic growth and overall development of each student. Her commitment to positive relationships with students and staff will also make her a strong leader for the Republic Intermediate School.
