To honor those who have served our country, Republic EC and elementary schools are hosting a Veterans Day Drive-Thru Parade at each building. Veterans and active service members are invited to join the fun by driving through our parade route (details below). Students and staff will be decked out in red, white and blue outside of their buildings waiting to say, "Thank you!"
For the safety of our students, please do not throw candy or items out the window during the parade.
When: Tuesday, November 11, 1:00-1:30 p.m.
Where: The driving route begins in the Sweeny/Lyon Elementary car line queuing road, moving past Lyon Elementary at the back of the building, then behind Sweeny Elementary. Vehicles will turn onto Main, E. Park Street and N. Pine Avenue to drive through the Schofield Elementary parking lot. Crossing E. Anderson Street, vehicles will travel behind McCulloch Elementary. Turning onto E. Anderson Street, then left onto N. Hampton Avenue, vehicles will drive by and behind Price Elementary, and through the Republic Early Childhood Center (EC) parking lot. On the map, arrows mark the driving path, with a green “Start Here” icon near Sweeny and a red “End” circle at the EC.
