Republic School District is excited to introduce the community-created Portrait of a Learner, a framework that defines the durable skills every student should develop from early childhood through graduation.
Nearly 100 students, staff, families, and local business and industry partners contributed to the development of the Portrait, identifying six key competencies that prepare students for success in school, in work, and in life: adaptability, collaboration, communication, critical thinking, perseverance and respect.
The Portrait of a Learner provides a shared vision for what it means to be a Republic learner and serves as a guide for instruction, leadership and student growth across all grade levels.
