On Monday, August 11, all district and building offices will be closed in the morning while the entire RepMO team comes together for our annual All Employee Meeting! It’s one of our favorite traditions — bringing every staff member together to kick off the school year.

🎶 Save the Date for the Sweeny Starlight Diner Musical! Join us on November 21st as our 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders take the stage for an unforgettable evening! Each grade level will need to arrive 15 minutes before their scheduled performance. We can’t wait to see you there for an evening of music and fun!

🚒🔥Throughout October, the Republic Fire Department visited our K-3rd grade students to teach essential fire safety skills! Our K-2 students learned lessons directly from local firefighters on how to stay safe during a fire. 3rd graders had the opportunity to get up close to the fire trucks and practice their fire safety skills in the smoke trailer! Thank you to the Republic Fire Department for sharing about fire safety. We are so grateful for this community partnership!

Today is the second Tuesday of the month and a GREAT reason to celebrate the important work of educators. Across the area, you will see educators being honored for 'Teacher Proud Tuesday!' We would like to take this opportunity to recognize Sweeny educators who have been honored this month for our 'Feel Good Friday' by parents or colleagues. Each month we will have a Surprise Attendance Day celebration. Students who are in attendance on this special day will have a chance to participate in a fun celebration! The Surprise Attendance Day will be announced on the morning of the event via Facebook and Seesaw. For the month of October, students at school on the Surprise Attendance Day will participate in PLAYGROUND SWITCH with Lyon! We can't wait to celebrate our students!

Mark your calendars for Grandfriends' Night at Sweeny on October 1st, from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. Be sure to check your child's backpack for a form to RSVP for dinner! We will be serving pizza, pie, and punch for $5. We will have a limited number of meals available to purchase on the night of the event. This come-and-go event will also give everyone the chance to grab a free game pass for the RHS home football game on October 4. #RepMOProud

Students are having a blast in their special classes! They love seeing both our new and returning teachers, and the smiles on their faces say it all!

Thanks to our amazing PTO, we are thrilled to announce that Sweeny Elementary has received 17 brand new classroom rugs! These wonderful additions were made possible by the generous donations from our families and community members through the Glow to Know fundraiser during the 23-24 school year. A big shout-out to all the family members and friends who donated to make this happen. We couldn't be more grateful for the support from our Sweeny PTO and community! We can't wait to see our students enjoying the bright and comfortable new rugs!
