Republic Early Childhood proudly nominates Ms. Christine Keller for the RepMO Hero of the Month! Christine shows up for her students with thoughtfulness and purpose every single day.
She is always finding ways to make learning meaningful. Christine took the initiative to partner with MSU dietitian students for a hands-on nutrition lesson and arranged for Boomer Bear to visit each EC classroom, because she knows those joyful moments matter! When the Turner Family Foundation grant came along, she jumped at the opportunity, won the funding, and tailored the materials to align with her two classroom goals.
Christine also works closely with our SLPs and OTs. She builds in gross motor movement tied to instruction, and is super intentional about hitting multiple standards daily. And, SERIOUSLY, watching her four-year-olds engage during cooperative learning is SIMPLY AMAZING!
This year, she went beyond holding parent-teacher conferences for her 4-year-olds—she piloted them for 3-year-olds, too, and the feedback from families was so positive! To further engage with families, Christine met with the PAT team to dig into DIAL results and used that information to create simple, meaningful strategies for families to try at home.
Her classroom is full of warmth, high expectations, and a belief in every child. Because she believes in them, they believe in themselves. Christine Keller is the perfect candidate for a RepMO Hero of the Month, and we are so thankful she serves at EC!
Thanks to our sponsor, Beauty + Wellness Co, for supporting our district and providing an additional $100 for each RepMO Hero throughout the year to spend personally!
In addition to celebrating Miss Christine, we'd like to honor all of our April RepMO Hero Nominees! Thanks to every single one of these individuals for going above and beyond to serve students and teammates!
